中国构造地质学如何面向21世纪

２１世纪将是构造地质学科蓬勃发展的时期，可以预见到的是将会有新的全球构造理论提出，它将部分或全部替代板块构造理论；同时，构造地质学的应用和服务领域也将进一步扩大。在这一新形势面前，中国地质学家对过去和现在所取得的成就和不足应有一个清醒的估计，以便正确地确定我国构造地质学在国际学术界中所处的位置，进而为我国构造地质学今后趋向繁荣作好准备。本文以“知己知彼，百战不殆”的战略原则为主线，阐述了构造地质学科自身所具备的某些特点，分析了我国构造地质学所取得的成就和现实水平，对今后的主攻方向选择提出了建议，最后还针对影响我国构造地质学发展的一些认识和方法论问题提出了笔者的见解。

HOW DOES TECTONIC RESEARCH FACE THE CHALLENGE OF 21ST CENTURY IN CHINA

It can be predicated that tectonics will develop vigorously,and the new global tec-tonics will emerge in the 21st century. The theory will substitute for plate tectonics partially orwholly.At the same time,tectonics will become more pervasive in the earth sciences.In this sit-uation,we Chinese geologists should make a sober estimate of our success and deficiencies,inorder to determine the place of tectonic research occupied in international academic circles,andprepare for prospering tectonics in China,On the principle of old Chinese idiom:“know the ene-my and know yourself,and you can fight a hundred battles with no danger of defeat”,this pa-per analyses the characteristics,the success and present situation of tectonic research in China.The author puts forwards some recommendations for the future studies of tectonics. Finally,some epistemological and methodological problems that hinder the development of tectonicsstudy are discussed.
