川南之上层气流

作者随气象研究所自二十七年一月到重庆的时候,即筹备施放测风气球,二十七年四月开始工作,屡次因为轻气供给不足,记录时断时续。二十八年冬从重庆迁北碚,二十九年一月至八月在北碚放了八个月,为了缺少矽铁,记录又暂时停顿下来。现在先把已有的高空记录来作一个初步的检讨。三年来在重庆和北碚的气球观测,共计九十一次,其分布如下:重庆曾家严:

THE UPPER AIR CURRENTS OVER SOUTHERN SZECHUAN CHINA

In the winter and spring,southerly currents dominant in the lower stratum to a beight of about 3000 meters,and above 3000 meters the prevailing westerlies begin to hold its stroll.In summer,it is not rar that the southerly winds take an altitude of 800 meters.Below 6000 meters the mean velocity is lower than that of Nanking at the corresponding heights and in the same season.On July 31st 1940,the NE wind maintains to a height of 8000 meters,and this is probably due to the influence of a typhoon which just i...
