Speeding up the modernizations in respect of meteorology by improving the application of microcomputers

In this paper, the status on development and application of microcomputers in the meteorological agencies is presented with the achievements and problems . It is noted that the microcomputer has become one of most important tools in support to the modernization of the Chinese meteorological sciences. And further efforts are required to be made in application of microcomputer in the future.
