| Abstract: | Based on the 42-year data from 1949 to 1990,a study on the variation of the typhoons landing on Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces are made. The typhoons are characterized by their average intensity,pressure and area of the gale ring before/after their landing on the continent.At the same time, a climatic analysis on the origin of the typhoons as well as their landfall time and landfall place are made. The results show that the study is greatly helpful to the operational forecasting of the typhoons landing on the Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces. |
