| Abstract: | Wavelet theory is a new branch of math. Wavelet analysis has been a powerful tool for many fields such as the geophysics, signal processing, image processing, theory physics and so on. This paper reviews new developments of wavelet theory in seismic data processing. The applications of wavelet theory to the data preprocessing, inversion, migration and interpretation in seismic prospecting are discussed. |
