北京市防震减灾工作的进展

北京市既是全国政治文化的中心，也是国家地震重点监视区之一。市政府非常重视北京市的防震减灾工作，于１９９６年１０月成立的由国家地震局和北京市政府双重管理的北京市地震局负责北京市防震减灾的管理工作。１年来，北京市已健全了各级防震减灾机构，防震减灾工作取得了较大的进展。该文综合介绍了北京市防震减灾工作的进展，包括：健全和完善组织机构；法规建设；北京市的抗震设防；北京市的地震监测预报；防震减灾的宣传教育及筹建北京市防震减灾中心等。

PROGRESS IN THE EARTHQUAKE PREPAREDNESSAND DISASTER REDUCTION WORK IN BEIJING

Beijing is the political and cultural center of China , and is one of the main- monitored earthquake areas in China. The Beijing Municipal Government pays great attention to the work of earthquake pre- paredness and disaster reduction of the city. In October 1996 , the Seismological Bureau of Beijing Mu- nicipality was set up , which is under the charge of both the State Seismological Bureau and the Beijing Municipal Government. The managment work of earthquake preparedness and disaster reduction in Beijing is on the responsibility of the Seismological Bureau of Beijing Municipality.Over the last year , the organizations at different levels which are in charge of earthquake preparedness and disaster reduc- tion work have been strengthened in Beijing , and a great progress in earthquake preparedness and dis- aster reduction has been made. In this paper , the author depicts the progress in the work , including : strengthening and perfecting organizations; making laws and regulations ; earthquake preparedness and resistance in Beijing Municipality ; earthquake monitoring and prediction in Beijing Municipality ; propaganda and education of earthquake preparedness and disaster reduction ; and preparations for the setting up of the Center for Earthquake Preparedness and Disaster Reduction , Beijing Municipality as well.
