Abstract: | A bridge structure with a seismic isolation system consisting of rubber bearings and hysteretic dissipators is considered. The non-linear equations of motion are derived for the first mode vibration and the stochastic response to a white noise or a filtered white noise ground acceleration is determined by using the method of equivalent linearization. The sensitivity of the stochastic response to principal pàrameters for the bridge is investigated. Results of optimum design of the isolation system are presented. |
