摘    要:本文是2014年太原全国工程地质学术年会的学术总结.这次会议以资源开发中的重大工程地质问题为题,聚集了全国800余位专家学者,通过15个大会报告, 3个分会场共69个报告,集中反映了我国工程地质学科在这一领域的进展.会议报告和论文展现出我国工程地质学科发展的几个特点: (1)紧密结合国家战略需求,敢于触碰国际工程地质前沿难点; (2)紧密结合经济发展的区域性问题为国家建设提供技术支撑; (3)中国工程地质走向世界,工程地质没有了国界.企业界活跃参与,学术交流走出了象牙塔; (4)高新技术在工程地质界广泛运用,促进工程地质大发展; (5)青年成为学术舞台的主力军; (6)中国工程地质学家开始哲学思考,中国的工程地质进入新的境界.本文也指出了我国工程地质面临的诸多挑战,一是基础理论研究落后于工程实践; 二是学科精神建设亟待加强,而最大的挑战正是学科精神的挑战.

Abstract:This is a summary of the 2014 annual symposium of engineering geology in Taiyuan. The meeting gathered around 800 experts and scholars at the topic of the Major Engineering Geological Issues Induced by Resources Development. Through 15 invited lectures, 69 speeches in 3 sessions and the papers published in the proceedings, the meeting has reflected the state of art of engineering geology in China with the following features: (1)Touch the frontier of the discipline; (2)Provide technical supports to the regional economic development; (3)More internationalized and popularized with the active participation of enterprises; (4)Strongly promoted by the application of new technology; (5)Young professionals act as a vital force in the academic stage, and (6)Philosophical thinking makes the engineering geologists entered a new realm. The paper also pointed out the challenges to engineering geology in Chinese, firstly the gap between the poor fundamental research and the demand of the industry; secondly the urgency for the reconstruction of discipline spirit.
