Joint computation of aerodynamic and radiation forces acting on spacecraft

A methodology is presented for the joint computation of aerodynamic and radiation forces acting on orbital spacecraft. Special attention is given to the computation of the radiation component. The reliability of the results is confirmed by comparing them with those obtained by other methods and flight measurements. Results are presented of a study of the combined impact induced by solar radiation and the upper atmosphere on the small spacecraft MKAFKI (Zond-PP).
