北淮阳区地层研究进展

总结了近年来北淮阳地区地层研究的新进展，即确定了西段桐柏地区寒武系地层，厘定了中段南湾组与定远组形成时代，再次划分了东段佛子岭群与梅山群地层层序。在此基础上总结出新的造山带地层层序；并指出该区进一步研究面临的问题，即区域地层的衔接与对比、早古生代构造古地理的重建以及缝合带位置的确定等。

STRATEGRAPHY RESEARCH AND ITS PROBLEMS IN NORTHERN HUAIYANG TECTONIC BELT

The discovery of UHP minerals and HP UHP metamorphic belt in Dabie Mountains has stimulated the strategraphy researth in Northern Huaiyang belt.For example,Cambrian strata are determined in Tongbai region in the west of Northern Huaiyang belt.The ages of Nanwan and Dingyuan Formation in middle of Northern Huaiyang belt are ascertained and the strategraphy sequences of Fuziling and Meishan group in th east of Northern Huaiyang belt are redivided.On the other hand,the strategraphy study can reveal important information of paleo tectonic geography,collision time and movement features of North China and Yangtze plates.This article sums up the recent development of strategraphy study and then sets up a new strategraphic order of the orogenic belt.Furthermore,it points out new problems in this area:regional strata correlation,tectonic geography of early paleozoic era and suture position.
