| Abstract: | Frost weathering is one of major frost damage for hydraulic concrete structures in cold regions. An observation for frost weathering of concrete surface produced by multi-freezing-thawing cycles was conducted in situ for years. The observational results and some effective countermeasures used in practice, as well as new designs and suggestions for preventing concrete structures from frost weathering are recommended and discussed in this paper also. |
