Abstract:The earthquake control effect for adjacent structures with base isolation and upper damper was analyzed.By use of ANSYS the finite element model of the adjacent structure was made, the responses to the earthquake under the action of non isolation structure, base isolation and upper shock absorber together were compared and analyzed. The results show that the response to earthquake significantly reduced under the common action of the base isolation and upper shock absorber.
