| Abstract: | Abstract A synthetic diurnal energy budget averaged for each month of the year shows that Lake Ontario loses very little heat at night during April, May, and June. The nightly losses during July, August, and September are conjectured to contribute significantly to the deepening of the thermocline through vertical convection. |
