Abstract: | ![]() A simple discussion of the final equilibrium state of extrasolar planetary evolution allows the determination of the luminosity and effective temperature of each planet which, in turn, allows the construction of a Hertzsprung–Russell diagram. The slope of the resulting line is found to be 4.5, similar to that which might be expected for isolated low-mass stars. |
