Interferences in the determination of mercury in mineralized samples by the wet reduction - flameless atomic absorption method

Abstract:When mercury is determined by the reduction-aeration-flameless atomic absorption method the presence of appreciable copper and silver in the sample solution causes significant losses in mercury recovery. Zinc appears to have negligible suppressive effect.
