THE STABLE REGIONS OF MOTION OF THE NATURAL SATELLITES IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM |

| Abstract: | In this paper, thc problem of thc stable regions of motion of the natural satellites in the solar system is discussed and an explanation about the reason that there exists a larger stable region for the motion of retrograde satellites is given. Based on the model of the circular restricted three-body problem consisting of Sun-planet-satellite, it is discussed whether each of satellites in thc solar system is situated in the stable region or not. This discussion, from a dynamical viewpoint, has a close connection with understanding of thc mass transfer between two stars in the close binary system. |
