摘    要:本文研究了四十年代以来确定变形岩石应变椭球体的方法,并结合实例给出一种简明、精度较高的从三个或更多任意截面上的二维应变测量数据,计算三维应变椭球体之主轴大小和方向的算法。

Abstract:To determine the three-dimensional strain state at a point in deformed rocks, it is usually necessary to summarize and/or calculate two dimensional strain measurement data on three or more sections. How to make the summarization and/or calculation less demanding on primary measurement and increase the precision have always been an attractive subject for structural geologists.In this paper, various methods to determine strain ellipsoid in deformed rocks since E. Cloos (1947) have been reviewed and evaluated. It is concluded that W. H. Owens' (1984) method is more advantageous than any other methods. His method is modified to make it more applicable geologically and a BASIC program is designed based upon the modified method. The mathematical solution to L-S problems is used to substitute for Owens' trial-and-error method, which makes the calculation method more concise. The modified method and its program are evaluated through actual application and comparison with other methods.
