| Abstract: | The scientific research achievements in clay minerals in China are reviewed preliminarily in this paper. The paper also summarizes the function of clay minerals from ocean sediments in the study of global change and discusses the indicating significance of clay minerals from ocean sediments in paleoenvironment and paleoclimate. |
