Abstract:The methods for calculating satellite position and velocity from broadcast ephemeris and precise ephemeris are introduced. The formulation for solving satellite velocity from broadcast ephemeris is given and a method for interplating satellite velocity from modern precise ephemeris including only the information of satellite position is derived. At last, a practical example is given and the accuracy of satellite position and velocity by broadcast ephemeris is analyzed.The results indicate that the error of satellite position by broadcast ephemeris is better than 2 m,and satellite velocity is within 0.1 cm/s.
