| Abstract: | Jiemian reservoir will start to store water in October,2006.The seismicity background information of the reservoir area is analyzed in this paper,including the epicentral distribution of historical and nowaday earthquakes,the depth of the source and the focal mechanism solution.In the meantime,by considering the characteristics of reservoir-induced earthquake,we think reservoir-induced earthquake will possibly happen in Jiemian reservoir area. |
