东昆侖山区风沙地貌的特征

新疆是我国沙漠面积最大的省区, 沙漠面积达40.4万平方公里, 占全国沙漠面积的63%, 占新疆总面积的25%。其中塔里木盆地的塔克拉玛干沙漠, 不但是我国最大的沙漠, 也是世界上第二大流动型沙漠。

Characteristics of Aeolian Landform in Eastern Kulun Mountain

The characteristics of aeolian landform in eastern Kulun Mountain is explained in the study. As well known, Atacama Desert in Chile distributes at highest elevation in the world at present. On the basis of field investigation, however, the height of both sand dune and desert appears in eastern Kulun Mountain are over 4,000 metres above sea level. Particularly, it is interesting and first time in China to report the appearance of dunes in the end part of glacier. It is found from the study that desert can be formed itself under dry and cold climate conditions and it is described in the paper that the climate in eastern Kulun Mountain is being become bad to worse, namely from wet to dry recently.
