| Abstract: | A new technique is used to derive the extinction and age of populations in the interacting galaxies NGC 5194 & NGC 5195 from high-S/Nmulti-colour photometric data. A new evolutionary scenario of the interaction is proposed. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date. |
