从《妙法莲华经》看鸠摩罗什的佛经翻译特征

摘    要:鸠摩罗什翻译了大量佛教经典,并在翻译实践过程中提出翻译理论——"味论",其主要特征为:注重简约、关照整体和语句通畅,以其代表译作《妙法莲华经》为轴心,通过与相关的竺法护译本的比较,认为:简约能使译文更精练,关照整体能保证前后译文的一致性,语句通畅能提高读者的阅读兴趣。

Abstract:Kumarajiva translated numerous Buddhist sutras for the Chinese,and contributed significantly to the translation theory by putting forward "flavour theory" in ancient China.With the guide of this theory,his version shows three characteristics,i.e.,laying emphasis on simplicity,taking care of the whole,and making the sentences fluent.This article seeks to underline these characteristics through comparing Kumarajiva's version of The Lotus Sutra with Zhu fahu's.
