地理科学与资源研究的发展形势 ——视察地理科学与资源研究所时的讲话

中国科学院路甬祥院长于2005年2月22日视察了中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所, 并在座谈会上发表了重要的讲话。路院长在讲话中就地理学与科学发展观的关系问题;当前地理学研究中的水资源、城市化、区域发展、温室气体排放和自然灾害等问题;以及地理学研究中的研究所发展方向、科研管理体制、地理信息技术发展、野外观测实验台站建设、科研领导组织工作、科研人才问题进行了系统而简要地论述。

Current Development Situation on Geographical Sciences and Resources Research

This article firstly emphasizes the relationship between geographical sciences and scientific viewpoint of development. Then the author summarizes som e hot topics on geographical research in the fields such as water resources, urb anization process, regional development, greenhouse gas emissions and natural ha zards. Finally some aspects were expounded, including orientation of geographica l institutions, mechanisms for administering scientific research, geographical i nformation technology, field stations construction as well as leadership, organi zation and human resource management in scientific research. This article is bas ed on the report delivered by Lu Yongxiang, President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in the forum with the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Res ources Research on February 22, 2005.
