Abstract:As for geological body processing of traditional digital geological mapping,there are many shortcomings such as repeated operations and long mapping cycle,which greatly limit the work efficiency of geological mapping.In order to improve work efficiency,the authors propose a generalization method of geological body mapping driven by the knowledge of geological experts,which mainly includes merging geological bodies(automatic merging geological bodies with the same properties,and merging interactively geological bodies),eliminating tiny geological bodies,exaggerating geological body,and smoothing geological body.The method takes the knowledge of geological evolution relations summarized by geological experts as the main line,and is realized by GIS components,mapping generalization algorithm,database,object-oriented programming and other technologies,and completes automatic or semi-automatic geological body mapping generalization operation through human-computer interaction.Verified by the 1∶50,000 real data provided by the China Geological Survey,the geological body mapping generalization method based on expert knowledge has significant advantages compared with traditional methods,with less repetitive operations,significantly improved mapping efficiency,and results meeting the mapping requirements,saving at least 65%or more working hours and avoiding human error to the greatest extent.This method provides a new idea for geological mapping technology.
