| Abstract: | On the basis of analyzing the disadvantage that representation of traditional science and technology information in Guangdong province is usually insufficient,GIS technology was introduced to visualize and analyze the information on science and technology industry in Guangdong province.Firstly,by using the developed platform—Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and ArcGIS Engine,the visualization and analysis was built up,which implemented various functions,such as data storage and management,inquiry,statistics,chart analysis,thematic map representation.It showed the change of science and technology information on the space and time axis intuitively in Guangdong province.Then,by considering the factors of humanities,geography and economics,the situation,origin and change tendency of science and technology information in different regions were analyzed and researched,and the corresponding suggestion and method were brought forward in order to provide the auxiliary support for development of science and technology industry in Guangdong province. |
