Competition among tourism areas takes on three characteristics.Firstly,it presents obvious arrangements.Secondly,it is affected by many factors,among which one factor is dominant.Finally,there are two kinds of competition among tourist areas.One is supplanting one another,and the other is benefiting one another.For a certain region,it can deal with competition among tourism areas from three aspects.Those are to determine the value and the way of tourism resources exploitation rationally,collaborate with adjacent regions in tourism and improve competitiveness of regional tourism.Yuexi County is near Tianzhu Mountain and Tiantangzhai Mountain.There are realistic or potential competitive relations among the tourism areas in this county and its adjacent regions.In such competitive environment,the county needs to adopt a set of strategies in order to advance its tourism.These strategies consist of emphasizing particularly on the leisure tour market in weekends,exploiting mainly tourism resources of high personality and so on.
