| Abstract: | In the present paper,the author reviews the advances in quantitative seismicity researchand summarizes the features of various quantified seismicity parameters,and then theseismicity index S is described,some practical results by using index S in the analysis of seis-mic activity are presented as well.Finally,the possibility of application of S to theearthquake prediction is prospected. |
