Abstract: | Analysis of 10 years of observations confirms Duncan's conclusion that the commencement times of Jupiter's decametric noise storms define a constant planetary rotation period, the value for which in the present investigation is 9h55m29s37. However, the study indicates that the apparent 12-year oscillation in the longitudes of the centers of the conventional sources does not result from a simple variation in storm length. |
