| Abstract: | This paper studied the mineral composition,the size of minerals and the microstructural features of cleavage planes of jadeite on the green part of jadeite jade by means of scanning electron microscopy.The secondary electron images of the cleavage planes show that the planes are not smooth characterized by cleavage steps of varying patterns (linear,sawtooth and harbor).The gemology properties of jadeite jade were also discussed. |
