| Abstract: | The geophysical characteristics of the South-east Diwa Region are made comprehensively utilizing wave speed structure data, electrical properi-ties, geothermal distributions, density measurments and gravity and magnetic anomaly data. A comprehensive analysis of the deep-seated structure systems, which are reflected and recognized by certain geophysical characteristics or patterns, was also made. A preliminary approach was used to the Diwa structure, formation and evolution. Finally, the problem of the relationship between the Diwa structure and the plate structure along with the mechanisms responsible for their tectonic developent is studied and descussed. |
