| Abstract: | The article introduces the concept of software packages for earthquake engineering in China with clear explanation of its effects on the developments in earthquake engineering.Based on the summary of software developments in earthquake engineering in China,the article analyzes both the subjective and objective reasons why this area of work falls behind our international counterparts.The article puts forward the strategic plans to develop application software industry for earthquake engineering with specific suggestions on how to start the research and development work as a first step. |
