| Abstract: | Recent advances in diagnostic studies of energetics over the past several years are generalized on the following topics: (1) Budgets of divergent and rotational kinetic energy, particularly the significance and analyses of generation,transport,conversion and dissipation.,(2)Scale interaction equations of kinetic energy show that the exchanges between K and K' can only be accomplished through V·V' and the kinetic energy produced by interactions between wind and mass field in both scales and transformed into synoptic and mesoscale systems. |
