The shape and orientation of Saturn's F ring and the orbits of its two shepherding satellites have been determined from Voyager images. The data and processing are described, and orbital parameter estimates and associated uncertainties are presented. In addition, evidence that suggests that the F-ring braids are formed very near the conjunctions of the shepherding satellites is presented. |
