| Abstract: | This paper introduced the concept of the electronic map and the research content of visual perception theory briefly. Comparing with printed paper map, the authors analyzed the environment of electronic map reading and visual perception, and probed into the research content and the experimental method of visual perception on electronic maps. The authors concluded that cartographic visual perception theory has a guiding role in electronic map design. |
