摘    要:武汉地区位于江汉沉降区东部,东北侧,东南侧分别与淮阳弧形构造和幕阜山弧形构造毗连,新构造早期变动比较激烈,并产生了多种构造变动类型,断裂活动也比较强烈。新构造晚期,各种迹象表明,构造变动比较平稳,断裂活动也不明显,但仍存在着发生5级左右地震的背景,而且高漫滩、泛滥平原的地基基础较差,烈度可提高1—2度。

Abstract:Wuhan area is situated on the eastern Jianghan negative region. It's northeastern and southeast ern sides border on the arcuate structures of Huaiyang and Mufu Mountain respectively. In the early stage of neotectonic movement, the tectonism was intense and produced various types of tectonic movements, the fault activity was strong as well. In the later stage of neotectonic movement, various indications of neotectonic movements display that the tectonism was stable and the fault activity was indistinct. But the seismic background which might occur earthquake of magnitude 5 is still existent. In addition, the foundations of high floodland and divagation are relatively poor,so the earthquake intensity can be considered to raise 1 or 2 grades, in order to lighten the earthquake disaster loss,to take preventive measures is necessary.
