Abstract: | Based on geological field observations of more than twenty hydrothermal ore deposits, in conjunction with fluid inclusion
studies, high temperature and high pressure experiments and elemental geochemistry data, this paper discusses the melt-solution
nature of granitic magma and the mechanism of formation of intergranular solutions during cooling and local differentiation
of the granitic magma. It is proposed that ore-forming fluids responsible for the ore deposits associated with granites have
a close affinity to intergranular solutions. This concept can explain not only the source of such ore-forming fluids, but
also the mechanism of autometamorphism in granite bodies and its relationship with mineralization. Thus, the concept of intergranular
solution is of great significance in the study of metallogenesis. |
