LAND DESERTIFICATION AND BIODIVERSITY PROTECTION IN MU US SANDY LAND

Biodiversity is not only the common wealth but also the main living conditions of human being. Mu Us Sandy Land situated on Ordos Plateau teems with various plant species due to its special ecological background. But the biodiversity is beeing lost in the process of ecosystem degradation resulting from land desertification. The control and management of desertification is the key to make the biodiversity of the studied area develop sustainably. In order to formulate protective and restoring strategies, it is very important to evaluate the impacts of desertification on the biodiversity in a right way.
