Relationship between the Upper Devonian Famennian lithofacies and palaeogeography and the tin-multimetal ore in the Dachang area, Guangxi

We have measured thirteen geological sections of the Upper Devonian Daihua Formation(Famennian Stage) in the Dachang area, Guangxi. The research results show that in the Dachang area there are two sedimentary factes, i. e. the factes of the ridge in the shallow shelf basin and the factes of the shallow shelf ba sin.The relationship between the lithofacies and palaeogeography and the tinmultimetal ore includes: (1) The relationship between the ore-forming- elements and the sedimentary factes: the negative anomaly of tin and zinc from Dongchao, Laojie to Gangjiang occurred along the boundary between the ridge in the shallow shelf basin and the shallow shelf basin; (2) The relationship between the ore-forming elements, rocks and the fossil assemblage: the contents of tin in the stratified limestone and the lens-shaped limestone, from Xingzhou to Laojie, are 0.1-0.3×10-6 (negative anomaly) and the fossil assemblage consists of Homoctenus-Palmatolepis-Entomozo (3) The relationship between the productive mines and the sedimentary environment:the Tongkeng, Lamo, Changpo and Chashan mines are arranged along the axis of the ridge in the shallow shelf basin.We regard that it may be the tin and zinc deposit in the stratified limestone and the lens-shaped limestone of the Daihua Formation in Shangyong, Gong'e and Beixiangxu, if the fossil assemblage consists of Homoctenus-Palmatolepis-Entomozoe.
