Abstract:The seismic performance of the concrete frame-steel column structure of the converter station valve hall under earthquake with different intensities was measured by shaking table tests.A 1/8 full weight scaled model was designed according to the prototype structure and the conditions of laboratory.Three kinds of scaled ground motion accelerations were applied as the seismic excitations.White noise was input to the structure.The natural frequencies,seismic responses,structural damping ratios and the development of cracks of the whole structure were investigated.The results show that the valve group has little seismic response effect on the overall structure,but the dynamic tension of the component parts of the valve tower connection should be considered in intensity seven of seldom occurring earthquake.The concrete frame-steel column structure can meet the demand in areas with seismic intensity seven,but the application of this type of structure in the areas with higher seismic intensities should be avoided.
