摘    要:研究区石炭系属残留海盆沉积。在固始柳林泥盆纪(?)花园墙组上部首次发现社内期Dibolisporitesdistinctus-Aurorasporamacra孢子组合,据此建立固始组。上覆大杨山组为典型磨拉石建造,推论造山运动发生于中、晚泥盆世。杨山组植物组合的特点似显示在早石炭世末华北、华南板块已互相接近,局部地段可能已拼合。

Abstract:The Carboniferous System on the northern slope of the Dabie Mountainwas deposited in a relic sea environment and consists of the Lower and Upper Carboniferous, with the former including the Gushi, Dayangshan and Yangshan Formations, and the latter the Miaochong, Huyoufang, Yangxiaozhuang and Shuangshitou Formations in ascending order. The Gushi Formation is first proposed for the upper part of the originally dated Devonian Huayuanqiang Formation and contains the newly found Dibolisporites distinctes-Auroraspora macra-Vallatisporites sp. spore assemblage and is dated as Tournaisian (younger than Tnlb) in age. The overlying Dayangshan Formation is of alternatively marine -terrestrial typic Molasse deposits,thus the ocean crust is inferred to might have only pertained to the Early Devonian and the paralic basin was formed after the dramatic orogeny in the Middle -Late Devonian. Furthermore, the fossil flora of the Yangshan Formation (Visean to early Namurian) shares the characteristics of those roughly contemporaneous in the South and North China blocks and this implies that these two blocks had come close, even locally conjugated each other at the end of the Early Carboniferous.
