新型网络地图符号概念模型及其描述体系

近些年来,网络地图发展非常迅速,越来越多的空间信息都落户在网络终端上。网络地图已经成为地理信息传输与发布的有效途径和人们获取空间信息的重要工具。但是,作为地理信息表达最直接最重要的手段--地图符号在网络上的应用仍存在着理论不完善、共享性差、难于扩充和缺乏矢量符号等问题,一些纸质地图和桌面地图系统制图中符号设计与表达的理论与方法,不能直接移植到网络地图符号系统。本文在充分研究已有的地图符号理论的基础上,针对上述存在问题开展了相关研究,提出了一种新型的网络地图符号概念模型,并建立了网络地图符号的描述体系,结合中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所的在线统计地图制作与发布系统和Web人口普查地图标绘系统对本套体系进行了验证。
