Au/Ag Ratio Indicator in Exploration of the Wenyu Gold Deposit

Au has a bad stability in geochemical anomaly assessment of gold deposit, which brings about some difficulties in the deposit appraisal. Au/Ag ratio parameter as an appraisal criterion was worked out in the Wenyu gold deposit, which acquired good results in the practical applications. The main conclusions are as below:(1)It is significant in using Au/Ag ratio to find ores at the surface and to appraise the deep portions or non mineralization areas. (2)Using the Au/Ag ratio as an appraisal criterion one should pay attention to the influence of regions, mineralization types, rock alteration types and mineralization intensities etc.,and at the same time contents and combination of other elements should be considered.
