Based on the geological research of Dongchuang large gold deposit and in accordance with the necessary mineralized conditions, such as mass source, mineralizer, tectonic condition, heat source, water source, time etc. and all the controls of each condition, a metallogenetic discriminant formula was built. Furthermore, combined with their gold bearing feature, the metallogenetic prognosis formula of the vein was built and the related prognosis values of vein 507 and 501 could be calculated. It could also provide the methods and steps of metallogenetic prognosis by using the formula.
