Design and Development of the Public Geographic Information Platform of Guangzhou

At first,the necessity and advantage for the departments of urban foundation survey to developing the public geographic information platform were analyzed,the difference of data contents,function frame,network architecture and service clients etc among the public geographic information platform,the foundation geographic information platform and the municipal government geographic information platform were discussed,taking the public geographic information platform of Guangzhou as an example and its data contents,functions and characteristics were introduced,it has some reference to other similar platforms.
