Abstract:Some particular parametric curves are usually seen in engineering survey,whose types are known but whose parameters are unknown. Differing from traditional least square distance fitting, this paper presents a model of parametric curve fitting, which is based on Euclid distance. Parametric roots of these curves are derived by extracting nonlinear equation. The digital results show that this method can get stable solution with high precision and it can be easily adopted for other parametric curves because of its simply deduced formulas.
