探索区域地壳稳定性评价途径

区域地壳稳定性评价是近年来在我国开展起来的一项研究工作,目的在于为新兴工业城市的建设规划和重大工程建设基地提供必要的基础资料。本文叙述了关于区域地壳稳定性评价的一些思路和方法,并试图使评价工作从定性评价阶段逐渐走向定量评价阶段,以满足工程设计的要求。由于一个地区的地壳的稳定性主要决定于该区各部分在现代地壳运动中的表现,所以着重从地应力场和地变形场方面讨论,以探寻容易发生变形破坏和相对稳定的地带(区),达到稳定性区划的目的。

AN APPROACH TO ASSESSMENT OF REGIONAL CRUSTAL STABILITY

The present paper attempts to give in a very broad outline the basic train of thought and the methods for the appraisal of regional crustal stability. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, landslides, etc. often caused destructive disasters and will continue to pose a great threat to human existence. It is widely believed that these hazardous events generally occur in the tectonically vulnerable zones as a result of the geological processes presently going on in and on the earth. The understanding of their distribution in space and time in a given region and the corresponding countermeasures adopted are, therefore, of primary importance in hazard mitigation, and have proved successful in not a few cases. Identification of the unstable zones by all available means is presented here, providing a basis for the regional crustal stability evaluation. Though much emphasis is put on tectonic considerations, the slope stability and foundation stability are also taken into account for practical purposes.
