我国一些地区海绿石的矿物学研究

本文对七个地区的海绿石矿物学特征进行了较详细地研究,并讨论了它们之间的变化关系。海绿石样品采集地点和层位见表1。

THE MINERALOGICAL STUDY OF GLAUCONITES FROM SOME REGIONS IN CHINA

This paper deals mainly with the mineralogy of glauconites collected from 7 localities in China.These samples have been determined by various methods such as X-ray diffraction,DTA,IR,CEC,Mossbauer and chemical analysis,etc.The X-ray analysis revealed that the glauconites have the intermediate structure between the dioctahedral and trioctahedral types.It can be regarded as a disordered interstratification made up of nonexpanding (Mica) and expanding layers (Montmonllonite).The amount of the expanding layers is increased with the geological age from older to younger,for example,the amount of the expanding layers of glauconites from the modern sediments of the South China Sea is about 20%,while from Sinian glauconites it is about 5-10%.They are very similar to micaceous clay mineral in crystal structural patterns and thermal characteristics.Our research work shows that mineralogical characters of glauconites are bound up with the type of crystal structure,the chemical composition as well as the condition of their formation.
