| Abstract: | This paper gives a brief review on current situation and some trends in development of exploration geophysics abroad. The emphasis isplaced on the applications of geophysical methods to regional geological mapping and investigations of Earth's crust and upper mantle, to exploration for deeply buried mineral deposits, to mineral reserve estimation, and to environmental geological studies. The major technological advances inexploration geophysics are also descrided. Besides the general status, this paper attempts to illustrate some new fields of application, new methods and techniques as well as new thinkings in development of exploration geophysics. |
