解读海峡西岸经济区

2004年1月福建省委省政府提出建设海峡西岸经济区的发展战略.作者基于对中国宏观城市地理结构的研究,提出过一些类似的思想.在这篇文章里,作者以3个阶段的认识来解读海峡西岸经济区.早在1988年,作者在中国沿海6个都市连绵区的假设中,已经认为闽东南具有形成都市连绵区的潜在条件.在全国一级城市经济区的研究中发现,福建既不是长三角的紧密腹地,也不是珠三角的紧密腹地,而是它们二者共同的竞争腹地.在全国二级城市经济区框架中,福建省是一个相对完整的二级经济区.作者的研究和观点从理论和实证方面支持了海峡西岸经济区战略.最后对福建省未来的发展提出了几点建议.

Interpretation to the Economic Region on West Side of Taiwan Straits

The Fujian government advanced the strategy of building the economic region on the west side of Taiwan Straits in January 2004.In this article,the author further interprets the strategy in three major phases.As early as 1988,in author's hypothesis about six Metropolitan Interlocking Regions(MIR) along the Chinese seaboard,Fujian was one of the region that had the potential of forming a MIR.In the research of first-class urban economic regions in China,Fujian is neither the closer hinterlands of the Yangtze River Delta nor the Pearl River Delta,but their mutual competitive hinterlands.Fujian Province is one of the relatively integrated second-class regions in China.These support the strategy of building the economic region on the west side of Taiwan Straits from theories as well as substantial evidences.Finally the author put forwards several suggestions for its future development.
